Overview:
eCertify can only receive EDI submissions from one source. Often, customers moving to Prodoc are using ChamberDocs via eCertify for their certificates of origin which makes it a relatively smooth transfer but also a relatively hard cutover.
Thus if you’re already submitting to eCertify, when going live on Prodoc you’ll need to burn a bridge or two as you’ll need to switch sources back and forth with regularity to submit from multiple locations.
Deciding to do the latter will not be a first, but it’s extremely unwieldy and messy, especially with multiple users. It’s not recommended to soft transfer because precedent shows that organisations will start doing it for one form intending to fully move across, then a year later they’ve forgotten about getting that form built, maybe a staff member has changed and it’s just become accepted practice that it’s something they have to do and are shocked to find that Prodoc supports that other form, whatever it is.
Thus this is a Timed Event, which needs to be done when it needs to be done, rather than just whenever. And when is during live cutover.
