NZ Beef & Sheep/Goat meat Exporters – EU-FTA Meat Board Integration – Update 02/5/24

TradeWindow Prodoc is currently working closely with Canary and the New Zealand Meat Board to build an integration between Prodoc and the Meat Board to facilitate the raising of Free Trade Agreements under the EU-FTA Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) scheme.

The EDI messaging has been built from the Prodoc side; however, we understand there have been some delays in building the receive connector from Canary’s side. We are currently awaiting completion of this before we can begin with internal testing and roll this out to our customers.

We will keep this post active and reach out to our meat exporters individually once we have this EDI message complete.

At this stage we expect this will be ready to implement into customer systems prior to the 1st of May.

UPDATE 24/4/2024: We have now completed the internal testing between Prodoc and Canary, although we are still awaiting an example of the certificate template, we are now in a position to offer this new EDI message to our New Zealand Beef exporters. Your customer success manager will reach out to all New Zealand Beef exporters over the next couple of days with further details on how to take this further.

UDATE 02/05/2024: The New Zealand Meat Board has now switched on live processing of the EU-FTA [Beef] quota certificates. All customers who have requested this EDI message be set up in their Prodoc system are now able to submit these live. Over the next few days the Prodoc support team will begin rolling out the live previews.
